~The Girls In My Class~

Alright, now let me introduce you all to my girlfriends at school. They were all my friends whom i can call the closest one. Back to many years ago until these present days, we all remain good friends even though we rarely meet each other but hey, friendship were not made to be broken isn't it? These girls i call friends were the one that i share my happiness and sadness and madness and such at school. We laugh together, we cry together (but not all because some of them rather keep the tears inside), we eat together, we study together (sometimes :p), we play together, we go out together and a lot more things that we did together.  In certain times where misunderstanding comes up, we argue, debate or fought over it but in the end, we're still friends. Well, that's what we call friendship. There will be ups and downs, but all of these were the things that created the colours of the friendship's rainbows.

Say 'Hello' to Samantha D. Dayou or known as Sam. She's a loving daughter from Kota Marudu. The moment i attended University which is in UMS (Universiti Malaysia Sabah), she was the first person who greeted me and help me to go through things with the school. She helps me a lot in terms of study, money and transport. LOL! Thanks Sam for helping me all those years. We went to church together sometimes when we're not busy with school's thingy. I can say she's the best pianist at school and usually when i'm having my exam, i will call her for help. What a friend i am! LOL! However, i'm grateful for she always help me and you can rarely hear her saying 'NO'. What a friend she is. :) You know, she has such an amazing family ties too. I enjoyed being around her and her family thou'. I usually address her as my 'cousin sangkut' when others' asked. Well, that's because she was my cousin's cousin. :)

They were my supposed-to-be-batch (2007) but due to some technical's problem, i was with the 2008's batch but it's not a big matter as i enjoyed every moment of my time at Uni. Well, let me introduce you to them. From left; the newly-wed, Teo Shin Yee @ Shin Yee, that's me next to her, Delna Atil @ Del, Samantha D. Dayou @ Sam, the one and only - Madam Hajijah Lamiri @ Mdm. Zie, Hidayah Yusof @ Ida, Estee Sang @ Estee and last but not least, Angel Ang @ Angel. Well, i can say that i do learn a lot from them and get to know them well. Thanks for the friendship thou' girls!!

This Tuaran's lady here is Amedah Gasin or Meda but usually when we text, we address each other as 'mandet'. She was the first person i talked to in my 2008's batch. I knew her first because Sam told me that her friend (referring to Meda) will be in my new batch as well. Anyway, about Meda, she's just a simple lady with that cheerful characters. She loves karaoke-ing and during certain times, we will go for some karaoke-ing together and sometimes with our other friends as well. During Raya Festival, she usually bring some cookies and biscuits and 'sambal' to school especially if we didn't make it to her 'Open house' during Raya. We all love the 'sambal' they made thou'. LOL! Thank you mandet!!

This is Mazlyne Liging, or known as Deng by her childhood's friends and some of her Uni's friends, 'orang kampung' at Kota Belud and her family but for us at school, we just call her by her full name which is Mazlyne. After a couple of weeks with Meda, i get to know Mazlyne and without realizing it, i was closer to Mazlyne than Meda at the time. Meda was closer to Clare. However, we all were close anyway especially because we're in the same class for 3 years. It was like a big family. :) With Mazlyne, we usually help each other in many ways either coping with studies, relationship or economic crisis. LOL! I remember the time when i was admitted to the hospital and undergoes a minor surgery for skin boils; as soon as i was allowed to leave the hospital, i went back to Kota Kinabalu because i still have to attend classes. Since i was staying at the same rented house with her, she was the one who helped me to clean the wounds from the surgery and change my bandage until i managed to do it myself. I can't thank her enough for that. Anyway, even though there was a time where we both were having our rough time and it has shakes our friendship for a while, but all the sulking and misunderstanding finally has been solved and here we are now, remain friends though.

This beautiful mommy from Membakut is Clare Petrus Edwin or also known as Clare but usually in text, we address each other as 'mandet' or 'mandak' as well. She's married to our senior at Uni, Lazman and now they have a baby boy named Audy. Clare's closer to Meda during our time in Uni thou' but again, i must say that in our class, we all were close and it's like a big family anyway. About Clare, she was a local artist even before started her Music Studies at UMS. She was well-known especially among Sabahan who listen to KadazanDusun's songs. You all will find her songs even in YouTube. All i can say is that, she has an amazing vocal and is happily lived her life as a wife and a mom these days. Sometimes, when we feels like refreshing our Uni's moments' of craziness, we will hang out together especially with our other friends who lived nearby.

This is Shim Kah Yee of Bongawan. I call her Kah Yee but most of our friends call her Sky, short form for Shim Kah Yee. :) Usually when we feels like teasing her, we call her as 'Tauke Bongawan' for her family open a business back in her hometown in Bongawan. She likes to create her own words especially in Malay due to her Chinese background i guess. LOL! For example, when she was supposed to mention 'cerewet' (choosy), she pronounced it as 'jerawat' (pimples). We always teased her about that but she doesn't mind about it, instead, that was like her trademark. She loves posing thou'. LOL!

This Kota Kinabalu's girl here is Judy Khoo Ying Szu or better known as Judy. During our studies at UMS, most people thinks she's weird but for me, i think she's too naive and innocent until people bully her easily. What i mean bully is not bully in terms of hitting her or harm her but in terms of asking her to do this and that. However, she did finished all of the works that have been given to her. I salute her for her perseverance and persistence in doing her job thou'. It's just that when you get to know her better, you'll find how nice and friendly and helpful she is. She's the only Music student in our batch and most probably in whole Music department who owns a title in 'Majlis Persatuan Pelajar' (MPP - Student's Association Council) in UMS. Now, ain't that great? :)

These two girls here are Khoo Swee Lian and Lim Sin Yi. Both of them are bestfriends from Klang. We all address them as Swee Lian and Sin Yi, just according to their Chinese name. Both of them played piano very well and most of the time accompanied other students in their performances. I put their picture together because even in person, they never leave each other behind and it's a good thing thou'. Usually in class, when it comes to studies and homework, they were our dictionary and teacher as well. :) For us, being around with a brainy and smart student is an advantage but i'm not sure how these two girls here felt about being around with a not-so-brainy and smart student. LOL! You know, in class when our lecturer is not in, they always make jokes and maybe do something crazy to each other. One of the moment i remember was during our 'Application in Studio Recording' (if i get the subject's right)'s class, our lecturer was not in yet and they both start doodling each other with colourful pens. I even took a video of them doing that doodling thingy and i think i still keep them thou'. LOL! All i can say about them is that, they're both funny, cheerful, helpful, clever, smart, talented and so on. I think you just have to get to know them to learn about their characters. :)

Alright, now let's go back to year 2005 where i first met this beautiful lady here. Her name is Clara Bertram, she's a Sarawakian and we both were studying in Cybernetics International College of Technology (CICT). She's the only person who was as crazy as me. Most of our coursemates said, whenever the other Clara's not in class, the other's gone as well. It's not like we're doing it all the time but i guess, the other students think that way. What can i say?? LOL! Our lecturers address us as Clara Sarawak and Clara Sabah sometimes. They didn't really care much about the letter 'H' in my name so basically, they got two Claras in class. I can say she's as crazy as me. One of the moment i remember the most is because of the song, 'Because Of You' by Kelly Clarkson. Since we're staying in the same apartment and room, each time the radio played Kelly Clarkson's song, usually, we'll find the lyrics of the song and started singing, screaming and shouting in our room. There was a time when we were peeping our neighbour as we can easily see their house from our apartment. It's ticklish to see our neighbour - 2 guys, because we feels like our neighbour was gay. LOL! We use to call our roomate, Sangeetha as "MyVi" because she was cute with a pair of big round eyes and chubby and most of all, the main reason we call her "MyVi" is because that big bouncy ass she has especially when she walk. Hahaha!  Aah! What a moment to remember. I haven't meet her in years now. She's pretty adorable, nice, helpful, crazy and some more that i can't explain. However, she's quite choosy and fussy sometimes, and when she said she doesn't like it or doesn't want it, she really means it. Well, that's what we call firm with wherever she stands. Oh buddy, i miss you!!

My BFF!! Her name is Christella Dazey Koimon but i'd already used to call her Nonie. From Form 1 to Upper Six (13 - 19 years old), we remain in the same class and usually pick a seat next to each other. I'm not really sure how our friendship started but i remember i first knew her during Pathfinder's camping trip. She was with the Adventist's church of Narinang and at that time i was with the Adventist's church of Tudan. Anyway, this newly-wed lady was also as crazy as me during school. I think i could tell a whole lot of stories about her and our friendship but i guess, let's stick to the main point here ayte!! She could be very silent and doesn't speak much to strangers but once you get to know her, she talks a lot. LOL! During secondary school, usually we go to the canteen together, have our meal together, go back home together (I mean, get lost from our classroom to the bus stand :p) and even, to the washroom. I remember when we're in Form 4 (Grade 10), both of us and 2 other girl friends, Jurinah and Winnitah always make the most noise in class. We all pick our own seat at the back and while our teacher was teaching, we were always talking to each other and doesn't really pay attention to the class especially certain subjects. LOL! Usually, after school's finished, we walk together to the bus stand holding hands with Jurinah and Winnitah as well while singing and everyone were like; "what the...??" LOL!! What a colourful moments of secondary school. I wish i can turn back time and get the chance to do that again. Anyway, congratulations Onie on your wedding!! May you and your newly build family be bless by our Heavenly Father. :)

Her name is Mexlina Yalip. As for me, i call her only Oyo but some of our friends call her Mex. I was in the same class as her since Form 4 to Upper Six during secondary school. Frankly speaking, before i really get to know her, i thought she was arrogant because i rarely saw her smile at others and when she looks at you, it feels like she wanted to eat you. LOL! And actually, comes to my surprise, she thought exactly the same about me too. All these while i thought i have all these friendly features but i was wrong. :p Well, we all know the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover". Anyway, just after i get to know her, i found out how lovely she is and such a talker. I mean, she talks a lot and always have stories to tell. LOL! She is a very sweet person once you started to talk to her. And have i mention how close her family ties is? All of her family members were actually very nice and friendly. Alright, back to our school time, started in Form 5, our laziness to go down to the canteen came to its peak and so, we all come up with an idea, which is to bring our own meal from home. Yes, it works. In class, there were 7 of us who shares our meals together. However, during certain times, only 4 or 5 of us bring our own meal and the other, went to the canteen. That's most likely our everyday routine in order to save some money. :p I wonder if kids these days still bring their own meal to school. :) By the way, i 'steal' this photo of her and her husband from her album in Facebook. :p She is married now with a guy called Rex. Happy for you both my friend. 'Semoga berbahagia sehingga ke anak cucu'!! :)

Her name is Nuryatie Damin but i just call her either Atie or Nanak sometimes. I was in the same class as her since Form 4 but we're really close during Lower/ Upper 6. She likes to make jokes and when she starts talking, it took her quite some times to stop talking. LOL! But as people said, no jokes no fun huh? Well, it's true for sure. Anyway, you'll be surprise how sweet she is when you started talking to her. She was one of the girl who brought meals to school or may i say, in the group as well. She likes to tease me for being so picky when it comes to side dish. I admit, i don't eat vegetables before. I only started taking veges when i'm in KL because i have to. :p Last time when we attended our friend, Nonie's wedding, she mentioned about the foods that i just took. Well, of course i eat veges now. Haha! As time goes by, people changed too isn't it? And i'm just happen to change my habit. LOL! Anyway, i'm not really sure if we have any blood relation but i remember long time ago, my mom told me about it. Well, i think i'll ask her again then. :)

My friend from childhood, Milhayane Namih or better known as Hanie at our 'Kampung'. I was sitting in the same class as her since Kindergarten until Upper Six!! Now, that's a record. :) Meaning to say from 5 (or maybe 6) years old until 19 years old. We've been through a lot of ups and down, debating and arguing over some stupid reason sometimes, go swimming together at the river (we call Kadamaian River - Our village is next to the river thou'), walk to school together -sometimes (During Primary School, we just walked about a mile to school) and play together at the field. I remember when we're young, we love rain very much. Whenever it's raining, all of the kids went to the field and just play. However, during certain times like when it's raining but the sky is clear and the sun is smiling at us, we don't go out as old people said, it's not a good rain.  We might fall sick if we didn't listen to them and so, we stay out of the rain. How i miss our childhood moments. We're all naughty at that time. There was a time when our school lost in a game, we were a bit upset and on our way back home, taking revenge on whatever comes our way. I remember when we passed by someone's orchard, we did something terrible to almost all of the banana trees. LOL! Oh my! That's how naughty we were!! By the way, she sings as well. She has that very nice tone and sings a lot too. Usually whenever there's a wedding at our village, both of us were pushed to sing. LOL! Now, all of those times were just memories. A memories to be remembered till death.

I still have few other friends that i called best of friends in class (inside-out) but i don't have their photos. So, i'll just mention their name here ayte. My friends from Kindergarten, Elisiah Dumpangol @ Lisiah who was married now, my friends from Secondary School, Winnitah Jangkon @ Yukai who was also married and converted to Muslim but i can't remember her Muslim's name (Nur Atikah maybe, just maybe), and last but not least, Jurinah Sarini @ Anna, also married. Looks like most of my friends were married now huh? Never mind then. :p Anyway, I'll upload their photos when i have one and i'll update my blog ayte!! How about you people?? How's your friends?? :)

~My Cousin, Kinut~

Well, let me introduce you to my cousin. Her name is Hazlinah Kamsah but since childhood, we call her Kinut. We're cousins from my dad's side. Even though we're 3rd cousin but we're close enough to share our feelings and thoughts whenever we needed each other. Usually when i'm going back to my hometown, i always ask her to accompany me home. Well, since she's working in Kota Kinabalu, why not? We're from the same village or in Malay, we call it "Kampung". She never complaint though and sometimes, whenever i needed help in terms of money (shhhh :p), other than 'borrowing' from my parents, i'll borrow from her too. LOL!  But hey, that's the reason why there is a word we call 'help' isn't it? We help each other and support each other whenever needed. Maybe today we need other's help and maybe next time, other will need our help as well. By the way cuzz, thanks for all the helps all these while ayte!!

My cousin, Kinut. This photo was taken somewhere in Kota Kinabalu. What a view! We just happen to go and have a look around at the 'under construction's site. :)

She has always been a good friend and loves taking pictures too. :) This photo was taken somewhere in KK as well. I'm not sure what they call this place but this is where arts' lovers express their feelings by making all those drawings on the walls.

Alright, this is the place we visit quite often when we hang out. 1 Borneo Hypermall, Kota Kinabalu. Either for movies or shopping or maybe food hunting, we often go to this place. This photo was taken during last December and as you can see at the background, you will find Santa Claus goes fishing in the middle of the Atrium. You'll see that big-blue-octopus and  starfish as well. LOL!

Somewhere in the heart of the city of Kota Kinabalu. A place where people who loves arts express their feeling and talents. I think Kinut was trying to reach out for the guy on the wall! Smooch! Smooch! LOL!
